I'm pretty new to the FC, just got my "member" pin a few days ago (and just as new to the game) so maybe this is something that everyone already knows and has planned out, but I figured I'd post something here to make sure.

What's the plan for raiding the new content in Heavensward? Specifically I'm talking about Alexander, which I believe will be coming out within the next couple of weeks at the latest. Who already has a slot, what jobs are already accounted for and what jobs are needed? I know that there are a lot of people still making the grind from 50 to 60, but I figured it could be helpful to know who is already planning on raiding, and what's already "spoken for" in terms of job slots.

I've got my BLM up to 60 - I've also got my WHM up to 53, but I don't think I want to take that raiding. Also looking into some other classes right now, would like to level something that'll be useful, if, for example, there's already a black mage in the group.

I may be wrong, but I don't think we have anything set in stone at the moment, but yeah, Alexander will be out around July 7th (2 weeks from launch which was the 23rd). At the moment I know a few of us have been working on clearing the new EX primals, and a lot of us have already cleared Bismarck EX, working on Ravana EX for the 190 weapons. If you're at least Item level 165, then let us know when you're on and we could probably help you get through Bismarck EX if you don't have it cleared yet.

The trick to this is that there isn't really an ODIN Raid Group.
We have FC Raid Night, but that's just the easiest thing to call a set time to help those in need of a full party for something they need to clear or the such.

Actually having a raid group is something ODIN tried in its very early days, but it's just not quit feasible. Attendance was the biggest issue, always, and second in line would be the limitation of slots. A full party consists of 8… and actual raids are the kind of thing that benefit Greatly from party chemistry, which develops as your raid group continues to raid together. Swapping people in and out frequently can be consequently problematic.

HOWEVER!

That doesn't mean you'll never do raids with ODIN members. Putting a party together on the fly is far from uncommon, to farm or practice or maybe even clear. And if you do become part of a raid group, there's plenty of chance that it could include other ODIN members.
